Dent Railway Station
Dent Railway Station is the highest main line station in England, standing 1150 feet above sea level. Like many other stations along the Settle and Carlisle Railway Dent was closed in 1970, it was reopened in 1986 and the station buildings are now in private ownership and available as holiday accommodation.
